Workshops

This page used to be "resources for institutional buyers" — that framing belonged to a five-variant product catalog this project no longer has. What's actually here now: this is how the project sustains itself.

Learn by building, with someone next to you

Every build guide on this site — Cinematic, Agile — is written to be followed solo. It's also, directly, workshop material: the same guide, the same steps, the same checks, run in a room with other people and someone who's already done it a few times.

Nothing about the workshop version is different or gated. The documentation is open — CC BY-SA 4.0, same as everything else here — and it stays open whether you follow it on your own or attend a session. Charging for the workshop and keeping the material open aren't in tension: one is instruction, the other is a recipe. Plenty of open projects work exactly this way.

What a workshop covers

Whichever build is running: mechanical assembly, wiring done properly (not just "does it work" but why it's wired that way), firmware, radio and video setup, and a real first flight — the same structure as the written guides, just with hands-on help at the points that actually trip people up.
